Yesterday I received my first Uppercase Box. I was pretty excited because I'm really getting into subscription boxes. If you are like me and don't usually receive random arcs in the mail, this is a great way to get a surprise.
So what was inside?
The book choice was The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black. I actually did not already have this book. There are actually two types of subscriptions you can get;
Expert Pick - It's a book they pick for everyone
Personalized Recommendation - Is a book they pick for you based on your taste
The difference in price is only 5 dollars, so I actually really debated about doing the Personalized Recommendation. For now though I've decided to stick with the expert pick. I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone.
The box also comes with a fun bookish items
a cute walnut with a secret message from the Fey (I've decided not to tell you my secret message) and some very cute book plates. I actually don't use book plates that often but these are extremely cute and I might use them for some of my kids books.
