Q: Bookshelf Tour. Give us a tour of your bookshelf.
I've actually been trying to work on my bookshelves and do some remodeling. I turned my living room into a library because really who uses a living room anyway. We spend most our time in our family room. So it's still a work in progress because I need to get more shelves.
This is the grand view of my shelves. That thing in the middle is the turtle tank. I would probably give him away but my kids like him so he lives there in between the bookshelves. One of these days this whole wall across will be shelves though.
So the first section is a mess of stuff. My husband complains because I keep taking away his shelves. He's got two shelves here for his sports books and music books. He's got some other random things. Then there is a mix of old books, Historical biographies and historical fiction. I think some YA is still hanging out there and some of my favorite adult authors like Amy Tan.
This is where the majority of my YA books live. I used to have them divided by signed books but I have come to realize I am lucky to have a large majority of my books signed. Currently there is no rhyme or reason to my organization but eventually I'll figure it out. There is also some adult books and fairy tales/mythology books in there too.
This is a pile of books that I don't know where to put yet. I have a ton more probably still at my parents house. I think my mom is hanging on to them to make her shelves look full. I also have so many manga books I could probably fill those three shelves that I have. One of those boxes has my extra books (some signed) that I have to decide if I'm going to donate to the library or do a giveaway.
